Historias Animadas:
La Máquina Voladora
Client: COSAS Studio & BBVA Foundation | Year: 2020
The BBVA Foundation and COSAS Studio collaborated to create Animated Stories, a virtual adaptation of three significant stories from Peruvian literature, aimed at promoting the habit of reading among young children. I was approached by COSAS Studio to create the illustrations for the adaptation of the short story "La Maquina Voladora" by Ricardo Palma, which tells the story of Santiago Cárdenas, the first Peruvian aviator who was also of Afro-Peruvian descent. This was a unique opportunity to highlight the story of a remarkable individual who was relatively unknown. The illustrations depicted the protagonist's journey and struggles, bringing the story to life for children on the BBVA Foundation website. I am proud to have contributed to this project, which aims to recover the legacy of Santiago Cárdenas and showcase his story to a wider audience. You can find the story here.
